Slipper spring with the Gear Diff on Tc02

I drive the Tc02 with the gear diff, but i find the spring too hard and too long.



So i try to use the spring of the save servo, it was more soft and more short.
Left original one, and right the save servo spring.


This is more good because the car don't do weeling every time, but it's not enought. I would like to find one more stiffer than the save servo and more short than the original one. If you have an idea.

Try compressing the original spring a couple of times in large pliers. Then stick it in the oven for 10 minutes at 200C, let it cool down slowly.

I ground the ends of the spring down slightly and used a low profile M4 nylock nut and it's fine, the nut finds about 1mm and grinding the spring another 1mm which gains enough clearance.

Could you not grind some off the slipper plate? Looks like there is a good few mm that could be taken off there.

First i would try to crush the spring
Second the AE V2 spring

Before grind the slipper plate because if it's not great i just can buy new one.

But i will do some test.

For information with viscosity did you use in astro (i try 1000 and it's great) and for durt.

AE slipper spring does NOT fit. Not V1 nor V2! I already tried that

I compressed it with pliers and it was ok. I would not use the softer spring as it might make the slipper inconsistent.
Team C parts quality is super bad so ifyou don t have to pay them just order a few and one will fit if you compress them first.

edit: chalkie sayd it grinding sould be the best option if it still does not fit.

@Moose, I read only problems what you've got with the Team C cars.
I can't find any post/reply from you what's positive about Team C....
I can tell you and I drive RC cars now for almost 22 years that Team C cars better and easier to drive than many A brands on the market !!!

I don't now how much experience you've but far the most of the Team C owners don't have trouble with this cars, electric or nitro...

Maybe it's not Team C but you who makes the cars weaker??

I just attacked the outer slipper plate with my dremel. Took it down by about 3mm , i now got loads of thread to play with. And it wasnt that hard to do either as used a small sanding drum on my dremel. Worked a treat.
