Default Pro Trak

Hello everyone.

I've just returned to the sport after a small break from the sport (Approx 8 years )

I have a Pro Trak charger which I once had updated by the company. I've tried to check the website that is advertised on the front of the unit but that was closed back in 2004

I am sure I've seen some one using one that will charge Lipo's so maybe they are still going... Can anyone help me find them on the interweb

I'm almost sure that phill is still going. Maybe he has changed numbers. I know a few lads that have had their protraks upgraded for lipo. Don't worry. One of the north east lads will confirm but there is a meeting on today or I will ask at our club on Tuesday.

I think the website is www.pro-trak.co.uk but it seems to be down. In my Pro-trak manual it says the phone number is 01912 521330.

Hope this helps

Ben

Ive just bought a faulty Pro-Trak so any help on contacting someone with knowledge about these chargers would be a great help please.
The Phone number is not recognised BTW.
Thanx regards Gaastra.

What's up with it?

can you post the version number you see when you power it up

on the underside of the case there should be a number etched into the circle in the middle, what is it?

pic of the chager may be usefull

192.com still has him at same address with same phone number. Don't know how often 192 is updated though. Line may be down to flooding if it rained heaviley there in the last couple of days, as I know the area has been under water in the past.

Get in touch with a guy called Martin here.... www.wcrccc.co.uk (On the forum)

Let him know what the problem/ error code is and he will send you the part and some instructions with Pics on how to fix it.

It could well be that it's been knocked on the head or giving it a total re-vamp due to the change over to lipo's. The Pro-Track does charge lipo's if you have the later revision software, but it doesn't balance charge. So really it's an expensive bit of kit for the functionallity it offers for todays technology. It has ended up a bit of a pain to navigate certain menus / settings too.
The favorite link I had to the site is definately dead... It had been working up untill a few months back when I refreshed my memory on how to enter the lipo settings.

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. Maybe I'll give that phone number a try in the week? I realise that it is quite an expensive bit of kit & limited compared to some of the kit that is now available but I like it. We had it updated once when the Ni-Mh battery's came out & I remember when my dad first bought the unit he was impressed with the service.

I like old school anyway! lol

Thanx for all the replies.
First off "whats wrong with it?" No power up at all,no sound or LCD.
Second... Martin at WCRCCC I have spoken to him this morning as I know him well as I race with him,but thankyou for pointing me in that dirrection as others will find his help invaluable.
The Version number is not on the bottom and is obviously not visable on the LCD from the lack of power. All I can tell you is the grafix on the front are the flames version which Martin says is a later model.
I get number not recognised on that phone number,so I will try to Email Phill.
Failing this I guess ill have to fix it myself I supose.
Again thanx very much for all the replies, what a great forum.
Regards Gaastra.

Excellent that the website is up & running.

Not so cool my Pro Trak is so old skool it can't be upgraded.

Ah well.
