Default Dates for 2014

I know this is a little premature but are there any provisional dates for 2014 yet?

The wifes booking holidays and I need to guide her choice of dates without making it obvious

They usually don't come out till after the BRCA buggy Nat and regional dates have been posted.

Hi,

I was discussing next year with Chris at the weekend.

We will get the dates fixed up as soon as we can, but will be next year Robbie said we normally have to wait for the regional dates to get finalised.

bit tongue in cheek, but if this is The Short Course Nationals why do we have to wait for regionals to be sorted out, expects to be shot down in flames,as regionals are more important than Nationals.

I imagine its because 99% of the clubs you will race at for the sct nationals will be hosting either one or two regionals.

Some might even be hosting a national or oople race or both.

I imagine quite a few of the racers will be doing buggy regionals and/or nationals to so sureley it makes sense to maximise how many people can attend for the series by finding reasonably free dates to hold the meetings.

I'm in the same boat and the longer the delay the more weekends get taken up.

Sods law says all the meetings closest to me I now won't be able to do!

Does anyone have any idea when we'll have some dates?

I really need to lock them in soon to avoid clashes with other commitments.

I've been doing my clubs calendar for the last few years and it's getting harder each year with more clubs and more events filling the calendar.
Regions should get there heads together ASAP when the national dates are announced, run all regionals on the same weekend across the country or run both 2wd and 4wd on the same weekend.

I know Paul and Chris are doing there best to get the sc Nats sorted so not to clash and maximise the numbers, some regions have only recently put out there dates which has delayed the dates again this year.

I propose that next year the regions sort there dates around the sc nationals just my half pennies worth.

It seems a shame that all but one of the SC Nationals clash with the 1/10th BRCA Off Road Nationals as i would've thought you would get the electric off road drivers swapping classes and maybe wanting to do electric Short Course?

I fully appreciate its a busy calendar as i have some hand in the oople series but i would have liked to have raced at a few of the SC Nationals this year.

Sadly thats now not going to happen as competing in the BRCA Off Road Nationals will be crucial to people qualifying for the 2015 Euros at RHR.

Have to agree with the above completely.

We wait until all the regional dates are out, hence why it takes so long for our dates to come out.

But after the regionals there just aren't any dates left for us to choose from.

If we released our dates after the nationals before the regionals I bet the regions wouldn't think twice about clashing with us!!

If anybody has any suggestions - lets hear them

Here they are again:
  • 4th May - Coventry (Dirt)
  • 1 June - York / RHR
  • 29th June - Mendip
  • 3rg August - Broxtowe
  • 24th August - ARC Raceway
  • 21st September - A1 Racing Club

If we make the series a BRCA Short Course National there would be some leverage to keep the dates clear , also the regionals need to double up some weekends using Saturdays and the Sundays on the same weekend to give clubs a chance of a few weekends( some already do)

I dont know why they bother worrying about clashing with 1/10th or 1/8 nats as i cant think of anyone that does those and wants to do the SC series.

As for the locations good spread with new tracks and hopefully we will see some more new faces

Just 1 question from me as it's 6 rnds will it be 4 to count

:
Sorry, but I think that's a bit shortsighted IF you want to increase your SC Nationals attendance? I spoke to three potential SC National driver today whilst setting up at Chadderton and they were all disappointed that they could not attend the SC Nationals due to commitment to the 1/10th Nationals.

Just a shame that's all.

Default Sc nationals

There is always going to be a clash with other events somewhere along the line and your never gonna make everyone happy the organisers of the sc national series I'm sure have done what they can to keep as many people happy as they can .....,,

I agree it's a shame but there a a few that moan about 1/10th and 1/8th dates clashing. If you are really passionate about SC this would be the class you would prioritise and fit your other classes around that
The class is big enough now not to worry about dates of other classes and these numbers will grow this year as i know of a few which have not done any of the the Nats but will be this year
