Default Your best ever car?

What's the best car you've ever owned? And why?

I have a soft spot for my 1982 Audi Coupe GT. Essentially an expensive version of the VW Scirocco, but I loved it—black with chocolate brown interior. I'd love to find another one.

My best all-around everyday car was my Windsor Blue '97 GTI VR6. Modded the hell out of it, and was fast as snot with the speed governor eliminated. Could haul a 32" TV around and move to a new house, and track day the next weekend. Did 135 mph for a stint out on a road trip once, then on the way back, went through a blizzard of white-out proportions. Handled both with equal comfort. Got great mileage and could run 14s at the dragstrip in stock form.

Stellar car. Wish they still made them like that here in the US.

Lexus Soarer GT Limited 4Ltr V8.

It had a lot of development items on it that still havent been released in newer models. It was a 92 model with a TV in the dash which had roughly a menue that youd find on a mobile phone and the screen was also a phone. Heated seats, memory seats and steer wheel. It had four types of gearbox options, one for speed, one for accelaration, one for torque and one for cruising.

I also liked it when i was overtaking on the A12 at 80 when a 911 flashed me to pull over and the kick down accelaration was rather good to the point that i was hitting 175 and the 911 was nowhere to be seen.

Wanted one since I was about 8, and had it since 2004... don't think I need to say why this is the best car I've ever owned

I had a mk2 golf with a 220bhp TT engine which was pretty cool, but being a conversion had it's little niggling problems.

The engine install was a bit messy when I got it back from the company that did it so I learned more about mechanics and pulled it all out to tidy up

the mk4 tdi golf I have at the moment hasn't missed a beat in the 60k I have owned it. just driven 3000 miles to spain and back on holiday hehe

Not much done to it. coilies, 18" RS4's, anniversary head lights that's all It has old man grey interior though

My mini.. first car i got at 14. Bought it as a cat D write off but me and dad ended up putting a whole front end on it apart from bonnet. Side sills, rear panel.. was really smart!
Put it on 10" wheels, flyoff handbrake oh and a pool ball for a gear knob
Im sure nearly everyone will of had a mini at somepoint, so much fun!

This one because it's been rock solid (and pretty quick), note the auto isn't really slipping but we have strict laws here

Mine was my 3rd Austin Mini. An 850 originally, I had a hand built engine from Wood and Picket shoehorned in. With a Skimmed alloy and ported head, and lots of other mods with twin Weber 45's. 110bhp at the wheels with a dog box full of straight cut gears. It cornered like a knat on acid!!

With a 9000rpm redline it was an absolute screamer, until the day I dropped it into third and gunned it. With my 'boy racer' stereo on full hum I didn't realise that I was already doing 90mph! As the engine let go, the head came off with such force that it creased the bonnet. My 'world', along with my engine, came apart that fatefull day; I was gutted!!

Good God, suddenly I feel bloody old! LOL!!!

Sierra XR4x4. Fast, tons of grip, enough power, quiet, comfortable, and did I say fast? It could cover ground like almost nothing else I had before or since, because it was so secure and stable. 120k miles in four years...
