Default Kitten SV

Hi guys,

I have been making a 2wd 1/16th scale buggy for the ever growing and very competitive BRCA micro class.
It is nearing completion now, but I would dearly like a proper manufacturer to take it on (schumacher would be brilliant in this case)...

Some pictures are below:

I just need the carbon making, a motor adapter produced for me, and the bodyshell making.

Your thoughts are welcomed.

Mark

Does it use all conventional "off-the-shelf" parts mate, or are there any parts you've had to make with the Dremel and epoxy? (other than the towers and chassis of course!)

I can vouch for how good the car is looking, I've seen it in the flesh. So near completion....

No major epoxying done at all really, just a very small amount of dremeling.
Front wishbones are rear cat sx versions cut down, and some of the webbing removed. I had to dremel them slightly to fit in the space allowed at the front inner hinge pin, but that is it. B44 rear hubs used, and drilled out to 3mm for the hinge pin/screw, and B4 cvd axles used. This was to allow a wide range of driveshafts that could be used, but that is all.

I am hoping to get some of the new B4.1 hex drive axles to fit the front, to allow direct fitment of the wheels, as currently it it 2mm too wide with the ansmann stuff that is on there.

Carisma shocks of course, since schumacher dont make any that are quite long enough.

Tamiya wing mounts.....although the new cat sx3 ones could be made to fit with a slight part modification.

I will be bringing the car with me to Caldicot tommorow to have a production chat with Mr Speedy if anyone wants a closer look anyway. I will also be exchanging a part with Tanker who is picking up his chunk then anyway.

Kitten takes TQ and 3rd at the Dudley BRCA micro national!
Some interest in the car from people was very pleasing, as was the result first time out!

If anyone wants any info about it, I would be happy to tell them more!
Cheers
Mark

That's very cool indeed!

So it's some custom parts, a few modded parts and the rest a load of stock parts from various cars?
