Looking great Daz. They are an amazing design, so off the wall but works so well.

The kit wheels are pin drive, unless you find the originals you aren't going to find any that fit on without hexes. Keep the electrics on one side, I can test them for you.

The orange one is a Kyosho javelin. The orange roll cage is the standard body for it.

I'm going to have to dig out some of mums 110 photos (kids ask your grandparents!!) to find me and my Tamiya Falcon. Envy of the playground with that - all other kids running behind their Nikko!!
It's got to be 20+ yrs!!!! Retro enough?

Some pics of the Turbo Optima I presented earlier, but now fitted with offroad wheels and bumper installed, both with the original body, and the freshly painted repro:

Default My collection

Hi my name is Don I have been following this forum for a long time. Seeing a lot of the RC cars from the late 80s and early 90s when I use to race them. I use to race Kyosho and Losi mainly, I loved Schumachers but never owned any, but seeing the old Cats on this forum I have started to collect them as well.
vintage 006.JPG
I found this optima mid custom special on ebay a long time ago. It was in poor condition so I have purchased a lot of knew parts. I am very keen on racing this car when it is rebuilt. Also like to say thank you to HKS_TRD for the OT-110.

vintage 005.jpg
My wife bought this for me in 1998, it is a shelf queen.

vintage 004.JPG
This is the re-release RC 10, never had one so I just bought it.

vintage 003.JPG
The Topcat I found on ebay, it is in poor condition but the lay down front suspension was in the box. As the previous owner used the cougar front suspension conversion kit. It should clean up OK.

vintage 001.JPG
The Ultima Pro is NIB I use to race this model. So I grabbed it. Not sure if I will built it.

vintage 002.jpg
The Ultima 2 I got on ebay it was very dirty but cleaned up well.

optima-mid 023.JPG
The optima pro I purchased of a friend in 1996 he used it once and then left
it. It is in very nice condition the tyres are original.

optima-mid 022.JPG
The optima mid custom special I found on RCTECH about month ago. This is my Favourite car as I use to race this model when I was young. It is in very nice condition.

Hi Don BONE11 it just clicked to me who you are, good to see you posting and nice collection you have there
I have an Ultima like yours too, new but built, interestingly mine has an alloy chassis rather than graphite like yours
You're welcome on the OT-110 I think I still have a few more, hoping to get started on a new project soon and when I get a chance I will post some pics of my collection on here, well the built cars in the collection most of it is in bits

Some really nice cars on this thread. Heres some pictures of my vintage cars, which some of you may have already seen on Tamiya Club. These cars are all original, not re-res, however have new parts to keep them running!

The Top Force won its class last year at the Castlehill (Sydney) Vintage Festival. Put a big smile on my face! This year I'm running an Egress in Vintage Open and the Top Force will run in stock 540.

When I get the shell painted I will take some pics of the Ultima Pro with the alloy chassis, it looks identical to your chassis just that its the gold anodised color that Kyosho do on their chassis

The next project is going to be the all carbon LWB Ultima, just getting some stuff anodised for that one all the carbon bits are done, then it will be my tow Lazer ZX-R carbon tub builds, one for shelf and one to run, and doing a few alterations to the all carbon SE-X from this build

http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125166

And not sure if you saw this Mid but its not finished yet

http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=145008

I am also going to build a Mid with all alloy parts and they will be polished

Somewhere along the line will build up my Optima with the gold celebration chassis and the second Optima which will be all polished and then I will sell that one

Default Rc12LW

Hi,
I recently got my hands on an old rc12lw. I could get the lot for very little money because otherwise it would have landed in the trash. It's quite a big package. There are 3 complete chassis, 2x rc12lw 1x rc12l, 3 boxes of tires plus some associated foams still in their original package, seven body shells, 6 painted and one still clear, six nicad batteries, all still functioning, a ton of brushed motors, brushes, rotors and a lot of spares.

Photo's say more than words do:

I hope you guys like it!
Maybe someone can tell me what this is all worth? Not that i'm already selling it but just as a fun fact.
And if you're looking for any spares, feel free to send me a PM, maybe i've got it laying around in one of the boxes and we can arrange something

Kind regards,
Tom

Hi Dan I do remember both of these builds they both look fantastic.
It was interesting to go through them again as I am looking at replacing the front swing shafts on my Lazer ZX and the Optima mid custom special. Do you have any advise on what to use or is LA232 and LA231 the best option?
I think I have seen LA245 would they be any good?
Also out of interest where do you get parts anodised?

I recently got rid of my "torture rack" setup as it was a bit hard on tires. The new system gives me much more flexibility and I can store 102 cars in a 8' long space. Great for this cramped shed! The planks are not glued just held by friction so they are very adjustable.

Ignore this empty spots, they won't be for long
