Default RE-LOCATION, BRCA SE 4WD Regional Round 4 Sunday 08 July - Eden Park Raceway

Apologies to all for not posting an 'official' notice before now, have been away from this PC due to Racer deadlines and work and this is the first opportunity!

As you may have seen there has been an unfortunate and mindless incident at our scheduled venue for Round 4 of the BRCA SE 4WD Championship, DHD Racing, this forthcoming Sunday 08 July 2007, meaning that DHD would be unable to host this meeting.

Following consultation with the Faversham Off-road Car Club, who were unfortunately unable to host this event due to there site being used this weekend for the local village fete, a decision was taken (following procedure clarification from the BRCA 1:10 Off-road Chairman), in the interests of maintaining the racing programme for 2007, to re-arrange the meeting and hold it at Eden Park Raceway, much the same as we did last year with the Eastbourne/Charing/FORCC re-scheduling.

Alex Brayshaw will be Race Director (with assistance from myself and a few other volunteers who, due to the short notice of this major change, have offered their services, many thanks to all!). Matt Benfield, EPR's other co-Race Director is at the Belgium GP this weekend, so please be patient with us, the track and meeting set-up may take a little longer than normal!

This may not be a bad thing for some people, we appreciate that this Sunday sees the start of the Tour de France in London (?) with the riders weaving their way around the Kent countryside, this may affect drivers journey's to EPR. Can I suggest that should any driver be delayed they attempt to get a message to us (our mobile numbers are shown on our website) and we will both book you in and potentially delay the start of the meeting if several drivers are delayed. You may also wish to check out the relevant websites to see which roads are affected.

Anyway thanks for the continued support of both this Regions schedule (many other Regions have lost meetings due to the adverse weather we've been having lately!) and EPR.

Those that have been to EPR previously will know that parking and pitting is not an issue at the site during the summer as we have access to the playing fields as well as two hard surfaced car parks and as we spend more time at the Langley Park Sports & Social Club so they are getting more accustomed to our needs and requirements.

Hope to see as many of you as possible on Sunday (or Saturday for those that would like to help us prep the track for Sunday!)

Steve Brooke
BRCA SE Regional Rep.
