Si: I have been trying to find out the same thing.

From what I have read they are "the same as Worlds" not sure if that means they are the same as AE wide track wishbones (as fitted to the Worlds car) or if they are the same as the RPMwishbones or if in fact the RPM and the AE wide track wishbones are the same.

Really need a RC10 boffin involved at this point.

Any idea CAINE? JANUS? Anyone?
As far as I Know............

But check RC10talk, all the proper RC10 boffin / nut-jobs are located there

The Dynotech arms are the same config. as the long (!) RPM arms. Normal length RPM arms are still easy enough to find. But the long ones are pretty rare by now.

Narrow: original AE RC10 arms
Normal: AE Team Car / Worlds car + RPM RC10 arms
Long: AE "prototype arms"* + RPM Long arms + Dynotech + Cut Losi VLA
Really long: RC10T arms, but you need to make special bulkheads / rearplates to make that work. (And it drives like shit, so don't bother.... )

* good luck finding these

If I remember right.... RPM made the conversion kits after the world championships where AE had the full custom RC10 Stealth cars so that we mere mortals could drive a car very similar .....

and they worked very well, particularly on dirt with a Hydradrive ...

Mines in the loft .... anyone want a look ?

Would love to see it Si

Was bidding on a full Rpm Truck on the bay a month or so ago and got outbid! It sucks when auctions finish at 3am our time.

Looks like we've started something here, theres a few people getting hooked already!

With the rear arms, as the dynotech arms are the same length as the rpm worlds, by using them on the standard chassis your giving a lot more rear end width as well. Apparently on the RPM ultra chassis the rear end was narrower making the width the same when you used the longer arms, also in the conversion kit there was a template to cut down the width on the back of the tub. If that makes sense

With the car having these arms front and rear they say it is the same footprint as a B4 or near enough.

True, but now you can just mount them on the normal position and just use you normal "flatdish" B4/X6 wheels instead of the older "deepdish" RC10 wheels. It's just a real plus if you have a B4 / X6 / Cougar / ...... , you can just use tires/wheels you have left from your normal race car.

All you need is longer drive shafts ( B4 / B4.1 )

This is all starting to make sense now, I think I get it

Thanks Janus and Caine I knew guys would have the answers

I will be putting in an order with Dynotech soon, have already spoken to them and the have stock.

WAX: is that your car? And was that your first post on oople? Nice one :-)

Last question then, I still don't get why you would run 1.02 shocks on the front. As you would likely need a custom front tower anyway cos rpm worlds tower is so rare, why not get one made to fit say B4 length shocks?

Ps. I used to have an RPM car, no idea where that went Doh!

It's almost a crime to race something that beautiful but fair play to you for not hiding it in a cupboard.

We need to get some action shots of these cars just to prove they are not shelf queens Lmfao

Is there a VONATS website or anything? Would love to see them on track but it might be a bit of a long trip to pop over to watch lol

Dont think you had all the different shock sizes back then, so if the short ones had to little length to work with the longer arms you HAD to use the long stuff.

But now just use B4 / Losi front shocks and have Jonathan make a shocktower to work with that.

Fibrelyte still do the RPM tower if you wanted, but I'm sure you'd be able to arrange a tower for different shocks easily enough!

The car posted on this thread might be a shelf car, its built from all new parts, The second car im building has a little use, The chassis should be back today or tomorrow from having some machining done and some custom wing tubes, nose tubes and battery tubes.
