....... sigh, sadly there as good as the money you are paying for it.

Did the software update, but no weird boost settings. The motor was a tried and tested 6.5

Tried it just now, the car sutterd from a standstill and was fine after that. But there was a blink indicating a hallsensor problem in the motor. Strange enough , but tried a different motor. Same problem only worse, the car wouldn't drive from a standstill at all, and needed a push start.

Tried resetting the throttle positions, and after that the car would launch good just once. After that..........., same problem again

I can still use it sensorless but it's a really bad sensorless ESC respons wise

Tried an old GTB and everything was fine with both motors.

So if your considering getting one of these....

Received mine took about 5weeks.

Not tested it properly but it works...

The fan it comes with is poor compared to the speed passion! When you turn the fan upside down it doesn't have enough power to turn..

Had mine running a 6.5 in a Cougar SV in unsensored mode with no issues what so ever for a while now. Will probably put it in a Losi 22T when that arrives!!

Mine arrived. Everything appears fine but has no drive to the motor. The motor works fine on another Speedo so its not that. Solder connections are good too. Not sure what else to try.
Looks like going in the bin. its only a bargain if it works!

Done that. The servo works fine and the lights indicate when throttle and brakes are being applied. I'm stumped.

If you have a multimeter also check there are no shorts between the connections.
Also check the wire is the correct way round into the receiver. Easily done

I bought one of these ESCs, but before powering up I took it all apart and checked the assembly.

The PCB itself looks fine, which is to be expected if this is a clone of the Hobbywing design, but the assembly is terrible. I spent a few hours tidying up bits, putting components back on the pcb (one of the 0402 resistors was on sideways!) and cleaning the flux off to try and improve it.

The funny part is that on my one they have scrubbed the markings off a couple of the ICs, so are they worried that people are going to copy this copy??!

Honestly is it worth it? If it works, probably. If it doesn't you'd have been better off buying a genuine one rather than fixing it (unless you have experience with SMT rework). Either way without the extra work done on it, I doubt it is going to be the most reliable bit of electronics, one hard impact could potentially dislodge a component.

Having said all that I'm sure lots of people are using them without any problems.

I had a 60A in my 2wd with a 8.5t and it wouldn't give the power on the straight I wanted, I have now gotten my 120A back from being replaced, Im going to try that one again, I didn't have power problems with that one.

Did you get this sorted out? Find out what was going wrong with it?

Thumbs down

Hi guys

I have one of the 120a versions and it runs fine, I decided to update the firmware so got a Hobbywing box but it doesn't recognise the esc.

I plugged it into my sp 2.0 and it works, is it a firmware issue with the box?
