Looks just like a hobby wing or speed passion to me... Gotta be worth a punt at £37 quid posted.. Maybe it's because they're a terrible colour

I don't care about the colour , I share your thoughts of what it looks like but don't want to waste my money, I've tried looking for reviews online but can't seem to find much info about these, its only going in a short course truck that was a prize .

It says it will run 1s on the ESC but doesn't mention it in the spec list. I would like a 1s ESC but wouldn't risk buying one on that vague discription!

The HobbyWing 1S 120A will run anything you fancy throwing at it in either pan car, TC or buggy ... check it out.

That's the one I had my eye on. It's to go in a Dave. I'm guessing it would still need a BEC deceive to help power the servo? Like this one.

Ive got one

think i paid £17 for mine on a german ebay listing its a copy of xerun 60a comes with 422 stock supercharged software

my fan never worked instant burning smell thought i killed it
bought replacement fan from giant cod and wired direct to battery input wires ran with 17.5 stock TC no issues its now in my dave 1S powered i use a reciver pack and you need to turn OFF voltage detection seems to be fine yet to race in anger but testing seem OK

UPDATE just tried 1s without receiver pack Yes it appears to work OK

hope this helps

Here we go
my 120A turned up today

Ill solder it up and give it a test soon

Will be interesting if it works with the speed passion program card or the turnigy/hobbywing one

WOW opened it up and it looks just like my speed passion esc, even the manual looks just the same.. hopefully the quality is as good and its just a rebranded/repackaged one

Soldered it up and did a bench test.

One negative is that the solder tabs are soldered on so they may move when you are soldering

Fans + and - were the wrong way, well it didn't work how it was suppose to so I fliped the plug works fine and not too loud

Worked fine with the turnigy lcd box I have, it seems to have 422 stock on it, I may try changing it to the latest SP or HW software later

i have a second on the way with 17.5 motor and card £33 60 a version

my first is in a dave on 1s updated to latest 930 stock software i too had fan problems didnt think about swopping plug wires

wired direct to battery input wires at speedo as previous post my solder was higher melt point than posts on speedo itself so be careful when soldering

i dont think quality is any where near HW as its blatant copy but my first one cost £17 so it was worth a shot

regards dave

Test run today with fan and a 6.5 in my dex210 2wd... yes too much but thats all I had. stock 87 and 22/21/20 T pinion then a bearing blew in the diff house.

Anyway Im real happy with it, it accepts my speed passion LCD box and the turnigy one tested quickly.

Still haven't tried installing other software yet.

Highly recommended 120A esc for the time being. Long term test and race weekend coming up will tell.

Another test on sunday

Im going to look at haveing it in the car permantly or for a while at least. Tomorrow Ill redo the wiring and shorten the leads as I used the supplied ones that are about 15-20cm

60A esc with 17.5T motor will go the touring car for my son, when it arrives, maybe in the spare 4wd later on

I have also Bullistorm 8,5T sensored motor and tried it at club race in my B4XL with Hobbywing Justock ESC. It works really good for the money, had enough power for jumps, really satisfied with it. Next time i will test the 60A bullistorm esc, i have allready one.

Dobber > I have just ordered a 120a one to go in my old Cougar 2 that I will bring down to SHRCC next week with me. Everything looks identical to my Hobbywing 120A units in my SX3 and SV and includes the same items in the packaging (pre cut servo tape etc) so these could be the best value units yet!!!
