Don't panic, the championship will run to the end of the summer.
It'll still say "5+" on June 20th

Calendar page has been updated with larger calendar.
It's now colour coded, so that all the different events are highlighted.
Now includes, BRCA and RCCAOI events.

Also, championship top 3 on home page has been corrected - sorry Michael

Last weekends results should be posted in next 24hrs or so.

Results from 23rd May updated.

Some points of interest;
Michael O'Leary now features in top 3 of both classes.
Dave Bolger makes impressive move into top 3 in 2wd.
Oisin Carroll boosts his championship with very good result last week.

To get the wizard's key you to get the crystal of En-d-Vok, this will give you access to a scroll of knowledge. You'll need to add this scroll to the other two that you have already, you already have two scrolls!! These scrolls will allow you to answer the 'questions 3' that is asked by the keeper of the key.

Sure it all makes sense when you think about it!!

Right on to the more difficult stuff.

Grading system, it's still a work in progress.

F5 NOVICE/NEW-COMER First time racer

F4 CLUBMAN, second year or more racing.

Both the above would be running 10.5 motors.

F3/F2/F1, would be in the modified class.

So as well as an overall champion, there would also be the top F5/F4/F3 driver.

The idea is to give everyone racing in the club a goal or championship to race for, that they have the ability to win.
(Ie new driver in the club would not be racing against a seasoned racer. They would be against drivers of similar ability & experience.)

Hi all,

The grading system is a work in progress at the moment. The main idea of it is so that the club can seperate out the different drivers into groups for the purposes of awarding trophies at the end of the year.

I was thought that drivers would be more enthusiastic if they knew that they were winning their group even if not winning the overall championship.

At the moment, the grades on the website are only part of a proposal that is being drafted. Basically, F4 and F5 drivers must use 10.5 motors or higher.

The ungraded drivers are all F2 and F3 and will be assigned their grading based on RCCAOI/EUROS/WORLDS events at the end of this year.

Hi all,

You can now view individual club round results by clicking on the dates on the results page of www.dublinmodelracing.com

Some sets of results are missing, but I will get these up as soon as possible.

Hi all,

I want to record some high quality video of racing in the Naul over the winter to use on the first page of dublinmodelracing.com

Does anyone have a decent DV cam that I could borrow on the odd sunday? Also looking for a tripod to suit.
