Default South Lakes Model Car Club

We are racing indoors at the moment at Burton-in-Kendal. It's 5 mins off junction 35 (carnforth) - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en-...ab=wl&q=burton.

Racing starts at 9 - 9.30, but we advise people to come early and help with building the track.

Racing usually finishes between 12.30 - 13.30 depending on the amount of heats.

We run 2wd buggies, touring cars and an odd ball class that has anything from Mardaves, 4wd buggies, 1:10 trucks.

The 2wd class runs a control tyre which we have found to be quite successful in not destroying the carpet for the touring cars and also being cost effective (one set can last 2 seasons), while still delivering good grip.

We are a friendly relaxed club, that enjoy racing and socialising wth like minded people.

Hi there,
What days do you race?
I have a touring car (xray) and would like to come along. Had a look through forum posts and noticed the 29th dec meet but couldn't make it. Do you meet on regular days or do I just keep watching the forum?
Cheers!
George

Great thanks Stuart! Next one this sunday, I'll come check it out!

Do I need to pay a membership fee or is it just pay to race on the day?

You should be fine to pay to race.
