Default ESC cooling fan for Trackstar Gen2

Hi All.

Just wondered if anyone can recommend a cooling fan to replace the one supplied with the Trackstar gen2 120amp ESC. The one I currently have fitted is so loud it makes my car sounds like a hairdryer.

I think the standard trackstar fan is a 25x25mm but would like to know what people are using?

I got a job lot of hudy fans last year, seem to be pretty solid, and quiet. Even on a belt driven car.

Might be worth checking your current fan isn't damaged. I nicked a blade on one of mine a couple of years ago, went from being pretty quiet, to sounding like a fighter doing a low pass in one lap...........

Thanks for the reply, I will have a look into the Hudy fan units. I have checked the trackstar fan for damage and all looks good. I also have a second trackstar ESC and the fan is the same on this one as well so it may be just how they are.

If your google fu is up to strength you can sometimes find bags of small pc fans on eBay, just a matter of making sure it's the right connector! Have done that before now as well (racing on a dirt track, used to get through fans fairly often! Now on astro/tarmac/carpet, so they last for ages.)
