It really depends where abouts in the country you are.

I don't race them myself, but we race them about once a month at milton keynes. The F1 nationals run alongside the world GT nationals.

This year it is planned to run a single 2 day national somewhere in the midlands (current favourite is Tamworth).

I'd suggest asking you have a look and ask your question here:

as a number of the people you saw at the autosport post regularly.

Not many clubs run F1 any more. It was big around 3 years ago, but since the 3Racing F109 stopped being imported the cars are hard to get hold of and it's hard to find parts so most drivers have gone back to what they were running before. Most spares I have bought for my F1s the past couple of years have had to be ordered from Japan or Hong Kong as it's the only places to find them. This years nationals will be on big 2 day meeting at Tamworth because there just aren't the numbers to run a national series.

Schumacher might be importing the new Speed Passion F1 shown at the Nuremberg Toy Fair this week, if they do there is likely to be a resurgence in the class again.

I run my F1 at my local club. Everyone comments about how great it looks but no one else has got one to run themselves.

I also run mine at my local track which is spa racing.
F1 modern or retro are both great fun and easily the best looking class on track.
