Wollanka was caught with sauced tyres at the Euros. But could we focus on the YZ-4 instead of the code of conduct of Team Xray?

Right - back to the YZ-4 I don't currently run a 4wd as there are very few at Batley so 2wd has more participation. Just wondering whether the YZ-4 will change that and therefore inspire me to add one to my ever increasing room full of cars. I do like the thought of it as I used to prefer 4wd drive back when I raced in early 80s. Wonder how many shared parts there will be with YZ-2?

There will be quite some shared parts in the rear. Front is different. I guess you can compare part compatibility on the same level as the B-Max 2 and B-Max 4. Maybe they share diffs, I don't know. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Expect prices around 400€ for the normal kit and up to €550 for the factory kit.
This is according to my latest info.

Previously didn't notice it, as wasn't so interested in yokomo, but now already existing 1/10th 4wd are expensive for them, seems all others are giving 1/10th for far reasonable price. My point would be that imho there should be initial kit with all needed hopups to have competitive buggy, and later on as car is being further developed release hopups. Otherwise - why would one buy normal kit, if there is a lot to add to have kit as competitive as for team drivers... Waiting for worlds to see it in action. |

Well the Bmax4III factory isnt a cheap car, its about the norm now sadly that 4wd is in the 400 bracket!
Depends on what is omitted for the std version, id be guessing alloy hubs and maybe some graphite decks? Either way Iam tempted more and more to get one! Lee

To be honest, prices are decent. Same as the B-Max4 III.
Yes, €550 is a lot for a factory kit, but knowing Yokomo, quality is top notch. So I don't expect a lot of problems there. I'd prefer to pay €550 for a top quality kit than 250 for a kit that has a lot more work and maintenance needed. Let's go Yokomo! I don't know when prices will be up, but I guess it all will go fast once the worlds are done.

And TBF, if you factor in what Kyosho were asking for the ZX6, and additional geared diffs, Yokomo are pretty bang for buck where spec is concerned!
Car will be high spec in either format IMO, lots of alloy, lots of carbon, great dampers, and, its a Yokomo, always a plus haha! Lee

All depends what you want and what difference you realistically think it'll make to your results.
If you have the funds, then get the YZ-4 and be happy. If not, and you're not a highly capable driver, then stick with the BMAX4iii until you can either afford the new release or you think it will make a real difference to your results. The cream always rises to the top anyway.
