Default DESC410R - ?!?!

Durango has yet again dropped an extremely cryptic hint as to their next product. . . . . title appears to say SC truck and 410 means 4wd? ? ? maybe and Hong nor/Hao bao (sp?) killer

http://www.team-durango.com/blog/?p=746

Thoughts?

Yep, a TD 4w SC is very interesting, but, I'd rather see the 210 and 410R released before the DESC410R.
...And, the 210 seems to be taking forever. Problems?
I actually looked at a Schu for a second or two. Still waiting for the DEX210, guys! Make it worth the wait!

seems to me they will drop all three at once; or at least the DEX210 and 410R at the same time. . . . . that would be nice anyway . . . . BTW Hyper, the RC gods frown on the "schu"

For the life of me, I can't imagine why they'd waste time with a Short course truck

Just get the R out now, I've got cash burning a hole in my pocket for one, that might go somewhere else if it isn't here soon

Guess they want to earn money as everybody else. Sc is in and many newcomers fancy them. Smart move TD.

They are not holding the R back for a laugh, trust me, there are many final production changes happening to make the car better.

End of April still feasible or will it be pushed into May?

It's good to know the car is being improved before release, just doesn't put out the fire in the old pocket

I'm not sure, I was just told about a few changes that were being done before release.

Sounds to me like a 410R with an SC shell - rather like Ansmanns new X4-Pro SC which is their new 4wd under an SC shell.
That makes it smaller than the Hong Nor/Hobao cars, and indeed smaller than the Slash/SC10 too, but it does mean that it requires little more than the fitment of SC type bumpers and body mounts. In practical terms the car would be identical to the 410R in every other way, including suspension and wheelbase, so the two could be released togther (as Ansmann are doing) without slowing the 410R's release at all.

The 210 still looks like an early prototype. Given Durangos release record don't expect it for a looooooong time!

i hope the DESC is more specialized than just a converted 410R, but a DEX with an extended chassis and suspension, like an 1/8 buggy vs. a 1/8 truggy

any word from Adam about release dates?
