Cool Yokomo 870c rags to riches

Hi Guys!

Around 1 year ago I bought an Optima Mid Custom for restore (pics somewhere on here) and it came with a very shabby looking Yokomo 870c chassis which in all honesty was wrecked but came with a nice vintage Parma Cyclone motor so I took it.

On arrival, yep, it was a wreck and still needs a lot of work but a mate of mine (Gingapaint) painted up a body/tray/wing for me in Masami style and I bolted some JC pink wheels on it and I'm in love!

I have some Associated team car shocks to fit and may buy some Fibrelyte shock towers and top deck (it has a metal?? top deck fitted)....the main thing I need is a front bumper, I know these are hard to find but if you have one in any condition please get in touch.

Thanks, hope you like it - far from finished but I'll post an update soon
Dan

Another fantastic restoration from you Dan. The endless hours you spend trawling the web for parts has paid off again.

Think i have a few left mate, not sanded or drilled though, just pre shaped. It'll be shorter than the 870c as they were cut for the 94, but i drilled one for a 91 fitment, and it works fine, leave it with me, fighting a chest infection so not feeling the mood to hunt them out, but ill get on it soon! Check out my 91 thread mate, think i posted pics of this cut fitted to my 91!

bests..........lee

Nice to see a nice reproduction of masami's 89 paint scheme. Now you need to paint both of the bulk heads with the same green, sort out some genuine black shock towers and net some more apropriate dampers.
I'm pretty sure I have the tyres he ran in the 89 worlds too.
