Excellent! Lets hope the weather is dry!

Now do I try my C4.1 or convert back to my B4.1 WE?
By accounts of those who tried both at the oople, the C4.1 was better...

The B4.1 was designed for Dirt I thought? That's what I'll be running for sure...

In fact, I draw your attention to the cars being held by the winner, a certain Mr Cragg... that one on the left sure looks like a B4.1 Worlds Car...

Pank (Lee fraser) ran his C4.1 in the last C (or D) final to see how it would run. He had been running a B4.1 WE rest of weekend. Put in his fastest times and won his final with the C4.1, although he gifted it to James Wilkinson on last lap, so James could win the best of three. Afterwards Lee said he wished he'd run the C4.1 all weekend as it was better than the B4.1.
Jayslim also liked how his C4.1 ran on the dirt.
I spoke to someone else as well running mid and they preferred it too. X6's did quite well also.
I'm just interested to try it myself, having run the B4.1 worlds car. I know I struggled with rear grip with my B4.1.

Sure Craggy won it with a B4.1 WE, but he could win there with anything to be fair ;-)

The B4.1 is the car to have on dirt, it creates so much traction and low speed steering and jumps really well too.
The C4.1 is designed for astro turf and the B4.1 is designed for dirt.

Well if enough turn up on the day we can run a heat - this always happens though, loads of people ask to race it, but at the oOple race nearly 400 buggy entries and only about 12 SC entries!

Have you tried your C4.1 on it? We know what's meant to work, but I was surprised talking to people that had run the C4.1 and liked it.

I ran my B4.1 worlds car at the oople, sure it jumped great, but I did struggle with rear grip. Was built first to kit spec, apart from the shaved U and C hubs then I removed anti-squat, added a touch more rear camber which helped. Ok I wasn't running new tyres every round, but the car was setup good.
Agree its the car to have, but interested in trying the C4.1 for a comparison. I race a lot on slippery rubber floors, and the C4.1 suits my driving style much better than the B4.1, and gives me better rear grip.

I liked my c4 my brother was running his b4 i had a go at his ndhe had go at mine, both agreed c4 felt safer on power but pivoted slow but b4 would really pivot when u wanted it.i had to watch how u put the power down with b4 as it always wanted to snap on me coming on to the straight.

But neither car was set up for each other to drive so who knows? Give it a go u never no u might like it lol.

So james do i get to keep my excuse ov "i cant see the whole track thats y ur beating me"?lol

I'm pretty sure Ben would know what's best as he is one of cml top drivers for associated. Also you don't see the yanks running mid motor on there clay tracks.

You 110% want to be running rear motor on dirt, it just suits the way the grip works and the driving style you need to adopt to go quickly

Finally put the news up, sorry James!

I also redid the entry form, since it looked a bit gash but more importantly I couldn't see it since I don't have a .doc viewer. I had to look at it online (in hotmail) and copy/paste.

Am I the only person in the world who doesn't have a printer? I could make it into a sticker I guess but I don't have a 'normal' printer

How many sets of tyres would I be likely to need running 2wd?

You could get away with running one set..

Just like you could get away with running one set of yellows at an astro meeting.

Take two sets and see how you go, I'm guessing you'll only use one..
