Question 2009 - More Structure Required?

All,

I've received corrispondance concerning the running of the meetings for 2009 so I have the following for discussion.

More emphasis on pre booking, this will allow me to issue the heat listings to the holding club on a Saturday. This will ensure you are all in the correct qualifying heats. Those persons who don't book in will be put into the random ability reserve heats. This will also allow for practice in heats as per the Nationals.

Booking in 8 - 9, this may cause a problem where the clubs site does not open early enough (ie West Brigford)

Heat Practice 8:15 - 9:45, Again problem as above

Drivers Breifing 10am

Heat 1 at 10:15, 11:25, 12:35, 13:45

Finals 15:00

Also we will be carrying out random total cell voltage checks at scrutineering, this means scrutineering must be before the heat / final as per the Nationals.

Thoughts

were lucky that we have a very hard working pair Alan and Andy and other commitee members who are very committed to the club. We will be running several meetings over the summer with new track markings and jumps and stuff so please come and visit us again! Details of all our meetings will be posted on oople.

Scheduled time tables sound good to me. Obviously there will be a problem with bridgford as earliest we can get the gates open is 9, also with the proximity of houses to the venue I wouldn't want to be firing up the PA / Generators to early.

With regards to pre-booking then obviously we have two systems already in place so people have no excuses not to pre-book, although do we need to put a rule in place that pre-booking for each event closes at a certain time? Also we need to make sure that pre-booking goes through you rather than through the clubs themselves.

ME-OR is there to be used how you see fit Jim, Thats why it was set-up in the first place

hi another idea, as we are having a junior championship
can we have a junior entry price as well?
or a family entry, lads and dads (or daughters).
full price entry for the senior reduced entry for any siblings.

Happy to have someone of Andy's experience to be the shop at all the Regional rounds (and I suppose PBM will be the Officially invited shop for the Broxtowe End of Season Finals!!).
