Open tyre rule lads Looks like our Dave will be scoring high points at this one, no doubt he'll have his CAT spikes at the ready, yes you know the ones! The ones he ran at Holbeach last year

If its pi###ng down I think I'm gonna give it a miss. Not a fan of standing in the rain all day only to get home and fully rebuild the car before bedtime. Not funny. I've been looking forward to racing all week tho so maybe some blu-tak and wd40 may save the day. Just need an umbrella girl to follow me around all day!

Bluetac, ballons, bluetac, grease, blue tac, cable ties

Ballons are great though, make sure you have some good double-sided tape too

I'm not a big fan of balloons. They creat condensation and therefor you still end up with water on the elec's.
I blew a receiver at london like this once, and have never use 'em since.

I just use blutak.
Some people use a silicone based putty too.

Hmmmm ok. Sorry for sounding dense but whereabouts do you strategically place the blu tac? Somebody should invent a massive rubber sock that goes over the entire car, except the wishbones and wheels. Like a giant condom on wheels.

Hi Mid-East peeps....

The Mid-West regional for tomorrow has been cancelled. Is it possible for a few of us to book in on the day and race in the non-points scoring heats?

Not sure how the spare heats work. So wouldn't know.
Jim will have to let you know.

Attention all!
I'm on the cadge again for power. I doubt I'll be there early enough to bag some of the power from the club house, so If anyoune has a spare socket going from a genny or similar then it would be very much appreciated.

I have a 50m extension, so don't have to sit with you if you don't like me.

Im sure it is. There are open heats catered for and there are only 2 in the 4wd open heat so far and none in the 2wd so I would say yes.

Unfortunately todays regional at West Brigford was cancelled.

I would like to express my thanks to the West Brigford crew who managed to find another, very good venue in such a short time and built what looked to be a cracking track, shame the weather wasn't with us.

I hope you guy's can try and retian the venue and we get to run the meeting later this year.

Oh and the bacon butties were well worth the journey

I've emailed some dates to Rob Jaques and I'm waiting to hear back from him.

Thanks

Shame about the weathewr though.

Could we not just have open practice for half an hour when the weather forcast is a bit dodgy? Then we might at least get some racing in before the rain hits?

Shame we couldn't start earlier (obviously appreciate the residential situation) that way we could have got 2 rounds in before the rain.

Thanks to Rob etc. for the work they put in though.
