Default Problem LRP TC / FUTABA 3PK / SPEKTRUM!

LRP TC / FUTABA 3PK / SPEKTRUM

Something strange have happened to me. Just bought a new LRP TC SPEC speedo. Installed it in my TC together with a new LRP 10.5 Stock motor.

I turn it on, bind to receiver, and do the setup procedure. Here is when I notice something is wrong. The blue light is flashing completely randomly when the throttle is in neutral position. When I push gas the motor does something similar to cogging (not really the same though). I also notice that the servo is not working 100% correctly.

I tried about everything to see where the problem came from.

- Change sensor cable.
- Tried different batteries (both LIPO and NIMH).
- Change the receiver.
- Change the motor.
- Re-bind and re-setup.
- Tried all different modes in the speedo.
- Disconnecting the servo to see if there was some interference.

But the problem remained the same.

I deduced/understood that the problem must come either from the speedo or the transmitter so I took out an older Spektrum transmitter that I have and tried with it. With the other transmitter (my old one) the system worked perfectly.

So the problem came from the transmitter. But I went back to my 3PK to see if I could fix the problem and notice that the ”flashing-blue-led and cogging” is only present when I am close to the car with the transmitter (less than 1-2 meters). Isn’t this really strange? Have anybody had this problem? Is it some kind of interference between spektrum and the speedo?

What can the problem be?

Thanks
Z
