Default New to this ...

Hi, could someone please help me out?
Yesterday evening was my first time racing RC (borrowed a friends spare car). I really enjoyed it and would like to take up the hobby and get my own car etc. trouble is, I have no idea where to start with what car, transmitter tools etc etc
The club that I have gone to races GT 12's ... Hope that's the correct terminology.
Ideally, maybe a second hand set up would suffice? Any help with this would be very much appreciated

TIA

I think what Col is trying to say is your friend that you borrowed the car from would be a great source of info to you.

a, to the club
b, to the popular cars they run at the club, and setup for those cars.

But please feel free to pick our brains, they're is a vast amount of knowledge on here in all forms of RC racing, so please feel free to ask any questions.
