SX2 steel idler grease?
Hey peeps,
Ive just bought the steel idler gear upgrade for my cat (from a ver nice oOpler ) but am slightly concerned that the new steel gears are going to run with more friction (and thus heat) than is good. Is this a legitimate concern, and if so, should I lube them with something? I use the Nuclear-RC greases and was wondering if they might be good for this? Thanks! |

even the plastic ones should be run with a small amount of grease, your concerns are how ever unfounded no heat, just noise and excessive wear if you don't run some kinda lube,

Cheers BR - though Ive been running the plastics for a long while and never had a bother with them dry.
Anyways, will grease the steels now as you advise. Would the silicone or the black Diff grease work best? |
