Like most people they either have a card system or a diary. I do so seems logical that hes just using whats available. His brother told me that his blue car isnt being sold unless someone pays what he spent and that is close to a grand, i know Alan kept receipts for all works he did on his car and did take the mickey out of him about that, what i have done is asked for the designs that he and i worked on so at least we will have something left as well as keeping his legacy alive.

I suppose thats plausible but why change the user ID of his Brothers account on eBay rather than use his own account, it seems a little odd. That being said what reason would Alan have to hide, I don't think he owes anyone a lot of money or anything like that and he was entirely trustworthy in the group buy which dealt with large sums of money. I'm tempted to buy the blue car but I have too many projects now

Family are like that and not always happy. If his brother hadnt access to ebay and believe me there are a lot of people who are not registered then kindof explains it.

If I had the money I would also buy it but its going to be as costly as it cost Alan to make, I advised him to keep it as Alan designed it so they can shelf it and remember what he achieved.

Well the show must go on and FYI I am going to have a mold made of the front gearbox top and blocks so will one day be available. All that will be needed is the CF plates which I have changed slighty for easier access to the diff without having to dismantle the diff each time.

Just to prove my point a little more, The dead guy started a job at Pavac industries in December and is still working there according to his Linkedin account. http://ca.linkedin.com/pub/dir/Alan/Tang.

I personally don't care or want to talk about oosh any more, lets move on.

If Oosh is still alive, can anyone think of a reason why he might have gone quiet

Does he owe anyone any money or parts?

Well thanks to Ron I have just received a zx5 rear of front gearbox pivot block. Ok its too big for that however something that I did notice is that it will fit behind the motor in the pivot block position there with a spacer underneath and upside down. Ok you will need the relevant pivot pole balls that slide on over the pole but appears to be roughly a mm longer than the usual one we use but if an issue arises where you need something to use as an emergency then keep this in mind.

Also I will be having a couple of pivot block designs made up as a proto and if sufficient I will be trying to get a batch made in plastic and see how it goes, I am beefing up the front behind gearbox design and the one behind the motor. If my thoughts on this work then I will have a large batch made up and will supply to whoever needs them as and when needed. As always it takes time but the plan is to get something roughly made in March and take it from there.

Default Small vintage Lazer collection

Hi,

thought this is the right place to post my small Lazer vintage collection.

I bought the ZX-R in 1991 and over the years changed several things:
  • Steering is now widely modified: steering arms are out of alloy (Hongkong) and the connection plate is stiffened with another plate below (see picture)
  • Chassis and radioplate are from Comcom (german company from the 90s)
  • Front and rear have Equalizer shocks and several other small things were changed
The Lazer ZX was restored just yesterday.
  • It is in fact the US version with the Carbon chassis, radioplate and shock mounts.
  • The front shock mount was however broken and I replaced it with a black FRP one.
  • Also the cars has R/L turnbuckles (were they normal in teh US version?)
The ZX-Sport was restored end of last year.
  • Nothing special here. I am only missing these special battery mounts.
  • Does anybody by chance have these battery mounts in his box? I threw mine away last summer without knowing what they were for ;-(
Regarding parts I also have collected some NIB/ new parts over the years. So if anybody needs new suspension arms or hingepins or front gearboxes- just pm me and I hope I can help you out.

Cheers

Ralf

Nice,

What's the part number for the stick pack holder for the Sport as eay may have them, I also know someone else here may be interested in buying that item.

I see you did what Jamie Booth did and place his esc on the top deck. good idea.

Your cars look great, fyi Comcom bought their stuff from Fibrelyte

Hi guys, tried to order ceramic diff balls from RCLazy but the site does not let you register, are they only doing business from facebook now? There was no blog entry since March or so last year on the site so not sure whats up

Which diff balls on eBay are decent ones to get and not cost a fortune?
