Too right. Best shell I have ever used, pity it was only on the market for a short time otherwise I would have bought many more. Still I will have a few now when Keith has finished this properly so game on as it is going on my ZX-S

The tomcat shell which Ellis used on his proto tamiya (looked like a zxr) in the early 90's is being made. Ive had the first one and now finishing touches are being made before going on the kamtec site

Cool Parma Tomcat Body looks beautiful!

Welsh!
That looks tight! Keeping it old school is the best way for the design and the lines that are long gone!
They dont make them like they used to.Too bad it was discontinued
I think Im in love all over again.
Im in Cali on vacation and visited my old racetrack this past weekend. All the buggies are now the stadium trucks. It amazing how this new trend became.Good job on the Body!
Now what would people think if they saw my 1991 Lazer ZX-R racing with a Tomcat body on it? HEY WHAT KIND OF BUGGY IS THAT??! Also what should I say if they ask where do you get the parts for that thing?? All Custom Made.
THey were always mad at me for passing them back in the 1990s.
Would you consider putting it on Ebay for Advertising Exposure?
Good job on the final project.

Welshy, have you seen this thread?

http://www.oople.com/forums/showthre...487#post411487

Maybe you could get Martin to make the ZX-S chassis as a one piece with the kickup/castor included?

That would look very cool

I tried the zxs chassis and it lacked something and did flex quite a lot, more than the three piece, so ended up with a three piece and the only carbon fibre kick up plate. Still i agree he is an artist and will ask when ive sorted out the weight distribution properly.

If your talking about my old ZX-S its already on ebay. New unused and for sale. Made as a back up but never run and a prototype as well so rare as rare can be. Also i still run my other ZXS and have updated it big time and goes like stink. All parts are custom made or from Kyosho Japan direct (I still have a few contacts). I feel the performance is better than the new cars. The tomcat shell is being updated slightly on the mold and then kamtec will sell. Web site is below. They already do the ZX-S shell and thats a stunner.

Hello i am new to this forum.. and found it by a coincident...

I have te last 10 years or so driven fuel cars..
and now there has become a chance for indoor driving very close to me and winter is coming up. so i found my old Lazer ZX-R and testet it a bit.. and forun it still to be fun.. I used to drive this in the mid 90s in NM (Norwegian Championship)..

So the last week i have been looking all over the web for pages and parts...

Incoming soon and payd for is.

LAW-7 and LAW-1 (fr+Rr)
and LA12, LA13 belts

I also orderd the optima gallop body and under cowl... before i discoverd the kamtec page here.......

Here are som pictures taken today before the rebuild is started...
I have quite e few parts for it... but it seems i have to take a trip to my parents house and look for the original box...(stickers and parts) and user manual with part numbers....
there should be wishbones, wing, diffhousing and some other parts there..

The home made shock towers have now done its job, and new ones wil be fitted..

Does anny one know the part number for the newer battery holders with the clips? this is not realy a good solution.....
Or is the easyest to make some new ones i composit or alu?

Not the best one here i can se that...
A friend of should also have his Lazer some where. i am gooing to ask if he wants to sell it. since he have lost interest totally.. its an ZXR with many options from ZX-RR

Is the only and best plaace to look ebay? and check weekly for new parts?

Let the rebuild start
Do you want to be kept posted?

best regards...

I would advise getting carbon fibre shock towers from fibre lyte in the uk and the strongest is the half circular handle type front tower as this strengthens the front gearbox as well.

Www.radiocontrolzone.com has a lazer zx/zxr thread worth looking at and has setups and solutions to almost any issue you may have. Shells are now available. Ebay is the best way to go for this car unless someone here has items.

Welcome to the club
