Got a complete Akula chassis conversion which replaces front, rear and the bit in the middle with alloy. Fairly tough alround and has alloy hangers.

Alternatively you can pick up the Kevlar front end or the uprated one that has the extra screw in the middle. I can't remember the number of the top of my head but if you want it I'll look it up.

Here's 2 others:

Plastic/Carbon Fibre one (Strongish)
http://www.smddirect.co.uk/t02008s-c...-front-2wd-323

Kevlar One (Stronger)
http://www.smddirect.co.uk/tu0279-po...front-2wd-1289

But the alu one that Geocar sells is by far the strongest but it didn't stop me chipping it

Short of the 'geocar' one i would buy the one with a screw through the middle of it

I would say the carbon mix plate is stronger, if broke one of them Car-wall incident, but they are expensive £11.99 from memory.

I've not tried the top deck/plate with the screw in it, but I've seen a few being used.

I'm sure the alloy plate is excellent but my only reservation is it may effect the handling of the car, but I've not used one so can't really say.

The standard plates a cheap at £3.99 so a cracked one every now and then is not really an issue - the rest of the car seems pretty bullet proof.

The one with the screw in the middle is a lot stronger than the stock, cf or kevlar versions. At least in my opinion.

And it is cheap-ish, too.

How do manage to break one
I crash quite a lot as many people know and i`ve not broke one. I even got 3 spare now as got 2 cars but still not broke one. They are the new updated versions mind so i wonder if thats why they not broke.

The alloy does help give some more front end grip as the x2c need's it! On astro anyway
