Here is just one of the things I'm currently working on.
This is the Atech BX1 - complete car for under 100 quid! COMPLETE! charger, cells, transmitter, 4wd "tc3 style" layout, self contained gear diffs, oil shocks.

seriously though, this is what we(the sport) needs, all in ready to run car so kids can go jumping them around tracks for a great price!

yeah, that car is availble for the price of an average( big) christmas present, or they could buy it with xmas money. If I ever set-up an rc company(which I will some day) I would make 3 levels of cars, cheap, but good quality cars like this one, team spec cars, for club racers, and competition kits for club and beyond....

Not had it round a track yet. its not a bad little car at all for the money. racable ? hmm, to be decided, might run it this weekend at batley. its certainly a good intro to buggys

the plastic is nice and soft so should hold up well. This car came from Korea, but schumacher now import the car along with all the spares (including a clear shell and wing)

I dont have a photo example to hand, but the pinion / spur are an odd size to me. I guess they are metric but I am not sure of the size .5 /.6/.7 module etc ????
the teeth are somewhere between 48dp and 32dp, and are quite large.
I think they look bigger than Tamiya pinions (like those off the tamiya mini) but ive not compared them against each other.

Anyone got any idea ? I asked schumacher but Ive not had a response about that.

more than likely it is .6module, which is between 48 and 32dp, .5modules is near as dam it 48dp, and then .4mod is similar to 64dp.

is there a .7 module ? I think i head some old kyosho kits were .7 module

never heard of .7m as that is pretty course, .6 is quite big as well.

You put up nice reviews. Not as useless like the ones you can read in the magazines. every car is fantastic, if you believe those. But you only seem to review 4WD's. Why no reviews on 2WD's ? Or a compairison between the B4 and the XXX CR ?

I'm just starting the XFactory X-6 review, so thats a change at least!

There are just more 4wd cars around at the moment. I have one at home which I was going to review (tamiya impact) I will be reviewing the Atomic S4 and the Tamiya 501X also. Just seem to be plenty around.

I had some ideas drawn up with jimmeh regarding 2wd which would be cool to do in the future. The x-6 will be nice to see in review form.

I reviewed the touring car version of this kit for race car. it was actually quite good. i was impressed with the kit for the money.
ok, if you look at it seriously its not that good with regards a competion car, but bob burr ran the t.c. version at a winter meeting where all the schumacher boys were testing team stuff and he managed to qualify it 6th in the a final. all hi did to it was alter the gearing and change the motor for a 'proper' stock. I think he ended up finishing the final in 3rd! against some pretty top of the rane equipment.

I think the buggy version is the same as the t.c but with the extended wishbones to widen the car.

all in all though, not bad for £99

i think these sort of priced cars are great, my first entry level car was the mr4-bc it was good for starting but it was quite fragile. i think it encourages younger people in to the sport which is what rc needs else it will die out. i hope this car is a bit more durable then my old yokomo bc.

I had one of the first ones of these (driveshafts were still modified/botched touring ones!!!) for a couple of months to look at for Schumacher. I thought it was quite a tidy car. Lots of features that you usually only expect to see on higher proced cars - pivot balls in pivot blocks for the pins for example.

Jimmy, Must admit i thought it was 48dp?? I still by chance have the origional pinion from it sitting here, it's very very close to 48 if it is something different.

I just took my .6 module tamiya pinion and it was a perfect mesh for the buggy stuff. I would guess the touring car was the same?

I must say I did just use 48dp and it was fine.
