I think lcpvcce means he had his conversion manufactured/ordered without anodizing, so blank aluminium?

@lcpvcce: It looks very nice! However, if it is indeed not anodized I would look into polishing it, giving it a clearcoat or blank anodizing it - I'm afraid otherwise it might become dull and/or corroded over time.

Hi !

Anybody have a good setup for low/medium dusty/bumpy clay ?
Tried the setup that are working good on the DEX410, but the rear just want to let go in high speed corners. Also tried Lred springs at the rear and Dgreen springs at the front. The car is very nervous.. Best tires are Caliber M3.
Im around 2 sec faster with the DEX at the moment (28sec ish..)

Contrary to what you would expect I tried slightly stiffer springs at the rear (in comparison to what I used on the DEX and it worked better. Having said that, this was on worn grass not clay, and it was after I added some weight.

I added about 70g of brass (2 small blocks in the centre bracing section and one small sheet under the shorty).

I am sure it is the weight reduction that this chassis offers (including using a shorty) that causes problems. I may even add a bit more and experiment with where I add it.

My reason to buy the DMX kit was to save weight and I saved around 110g. No way Im going to add weight, atleast not before Ive tried everything else. Today I put the car on scales and the weight at the rear is the same as my DEX410 and 110g lighter at the front. So tomorrow Im going to use lblue springs at the rear and dgreen at the front.

Good luck. I have found the benefit of the weight reduction was that you can add weight where you wanted it, and low down if you are using brass or lead plate as I am.

Thank you Sir
There are other 4wd cars that weight around 1700g that handles really well.
