Default K1 kit rear springs 2.5lbs????

The reason I ask is they say 2.5 on them, however they appear to have less coils on than my other 2.5lbs rear springs I have on cat sx3. Confused

You brought a K1 then Dave?

The rear springs on my K1 are 2.5 and seem to be the same as my later SX3 ones.

The coils on the later springs have more spacing between the coils, to give a better compression.

I was also going to ask about this. I've just bought a cougar sv2 kit which comes with 2.5 rear springs. I bought a few sets of springs with the chassis buying 2.5 springs again. I used the kit springs the other day that just have "2.5" as an indicator on them where my aftermarket ones have 2.5 and then the coil rating printed on them.
Are the aftermarket ones the newer ones? And if so do they perform any differently? The standard 2.5 from the kit following Simon Moss' shock setup with 3 hole pistons and 350cs oil are so soft and springy offering no pack at all on the rear.

Chris
