And to make it even better buy the front suspension kit from schumacher. But don't forget the 4 grommets you need to buy. Pain to get in but I used a littlle fairy liquid to persuade them in to position

Is there a special tool needed to true down the tires for the supastox?
I'm just asking this because last wknd i saw these cars at the track i went and they look great so i'm considering to buy one of this great cars.
So i have no idea of what the wheels look like on the inside, just asking this to know more of what i'm willing to start with

There is a tool called a Tire Truer that will take down your tires to whatever diameter you want but most people now just buy the Contact's that are already trued & glued, here are a list of whats available

I have already a tire trues on order, it's on it's way to me but that wasn't the question.
The question was do i need a special tool to be able to true down the supastox tires on the tire truer.
Meaning the mounting tool on wich you mount the tire/wheel what kind of tool is it that you would need.
As far as i know of there are 4 kind of mounting tools, for 1/8th scale wheels (wich i think it won't fit in the wheels), for 1/10th scale touring car wheels, for 1/12th scale pan car wheels or for Tamiya F1 wheels.

The item you need is called an Arbor.
Try here...

If the truer doesn't have a threaded shaft you'll need to drill, tap & grub screw the Mardave arbour and file a flat on the truer shaft. Or you can drill through the arbour and shaft and use a strong body clip to hold it in place.

If the truer has a threaded shaft then the Mardave arbour just screws on if the threads are the same.

Please check which truer you have ordered. Does it have a screwed shaft that will fit the Mardave arbor? Most have a plain 8mm shaft and that arbor will not fit. If you don't have the tools to modify the arbor as Glenn said, you're a bit stuck!

Strangely, neither Mardave nor Schumacher do an arbor that fits an 8mm shaft, and more truers have that attachment than any other!!

Yup, that's the one. I made my own from an old Integy TC arbor and the axle from a PB Mustang! Is that commercially available? If it is, Addicted needs one!

No! This was not your first question, you asked "Is there a special tool needed to true down the tires for the supastox?" as I don't know your level of knowledge I answered a Tire Truer.

All sorted now tho

I have a TopCad truer. 8mm plain shaft. Drilled and tapped Mardave arbor and filed a flat on the shaft.
