Default Nimh Batteries.

Hi All.

Just wanted some advise on Nimh batteries for club meets. Would i be best going for 4200mah or 5000mah batteries? I intended to run a brushed motor set up at present and in the future go to a 10.5t brushless motor.

I know Lipo batteries are the way forward but find the standard stick packs fit perfectly in the chassis.

If your still after nimh's you can get 5000's from Modelsport for a decent price.
Be aware though that each of the cells are a couple of millimetres bigger than the old 2000 / 3000 batteries, I had to alter my Cat 2000 battery straps with a couple of washer to get the extra clearance to run the 5000's

as you will be going brushless maybe it would be better to buy lipo, you can buy lipo shaped like nimh.
