Default How the points system works.

A few of the lads last week asked me to explain the point system for the leagues.

You score points in your respective class F1, F2, F3, F4.

You get 3 points for qualifying first in your class, 2 for second and 1 for third.

This could mean that a F2 driver gets into the A final with 9 other F1 drivers so he would get 3 points because he is the highest placed F2.

In the finals you get 100 points for a win 99 for second and all the way down to the last placed driver in you class.

So if 12 F1 drivers race the last placed driver will get 88 points which ever final he's in.

The max points that you can get is 103 (3 points for qualifying first in your class and 100 points for being the first in your class in the final)

What could happen is a F2 driver wins the A final (and gets 100 points in his Class) but the second place driver who is a F1 will also get 100 points.

ALL racers who have a transponder will score points (members and non-members)

After this first series we will have a better idea of your ability and may do a bit of shuffling to equal the leagues up.

There will be nice wooden shields for the first place in each class and also one for the youngster with the most points, you can then show them to you wife/girlfriend/partner/mum to show that you do go racing on a Friday night and not just go to the pub!!!

Any questions on the point system just ask.

Peter
