I have a DEX210 with everything needed to get going (apart from charger, receiver and transmitter) for 100 quid.
I can even chuck in a few spare wishbones (if he's a beginner these will inevitably be the first things he'll break!) I have a 10.5 ready to install too. It's plenty fast enough.
