A Great Weekend for Team Durango (3 National Titles)
Team Durango sent news of their recent success around the world ahead of the imminent release of the new DEX410 electric buggy.
German National Championships In Leipzig, Germany, the German National Championships were held for the Modified and Stock classes. New Team Durango driver Benni Gröschl joined up with Martin Achter, Mirko Morgenstern and Ebi Beck at the event which marks the pinnacle of 1/10th off road racing in Germany. The event started on a dusty and loose track, with grip being difficult to extract. The Durango Team worked quickly to alter the differential set-ups on their car to get an advantage over the opposition maximising the traction of the DEX410 in the difficult conditions. As the track became less dusty and started to groove up, the team kept on top of the changing track and tuned the unique geared differentials of the DEX410 with slightly thicker differential oil to keep their cars in front of the opposition. After qualifying in the Modified class, three DEX410’s were in the A Main. Benni had dominated proceedings taking TQ in three of the five rounds securing pole position. Martin took 3rd on the grid, with Mirko placing 10th. In the Stock class it was a similar story with Ebi Beck taking three of the five rounds of qualifying to lock out his pole position for the main event. Finals. Benni dominated the finals as he had in qualifying, even allowing for a small mistake at the start of leg one, he still had the raw speed in the DEX410 to make up the difference over the seven minute final. Martin stepped-up his game from qualifying after discussing some set-up changes for the final and was soon trading fastest laps with Benni throughout the three legs of the A Final. Benni eventually posted the fastest lap of the weekend beating Martin’s best by 0.02secs. Martin took two 2nd places finishes in legs two and three to secure 2nd overall, whilst Mirko moved up from 10th to 7th overall with two sixth place finishes. In Stock class Ebi Beck dominated legs one and three to take the National Stock Championship Full event timing can be found at: http://www.myrcm.ch/myrcm/main?pLa=en&hId[1]=arv&dId[E]=2284 Further photos can be found at: http://picasaweb.google.de/Michaelfr...gE&feat=email# South African National Championships Check out the Team Durango homepage for more information on the new car. www.team-durango.com

In the japanese nationals it happened the same. I think Durango is puting a lot of money to adverstise its car. I don't think is any better than a B44 or a Tamiya TRF 511..etc. Expensive, and probably spares too. Time will tell us, it always does...

Umm, everything is better than a b44. that is, unless you can't afford anything but cheaply made knockoffs.

One thing that is definetily not better is spare parts availability. Also Team Associated have been around so long that you can trust there will be spares available for a long time, but can you trust that there will be spares for your Durango 10 years from now?
