Default Transponder identification

Hi All
Struggling a bit with identifying this transponder, does anyone recognise these and what they are normally used for?
I know they look similar to the old style hand out but the case says '400' on it?

Any ideas would help, thanks in advance

Them were the days when we all had big holes in our shells with big body clips for the club transponders

Yes they do look similar but as said above they are for go-karts not buggies, not sure how much different they will be internally.

But yes definitely some added rear end traction with these in the day

Looks a bit like the ones we used to use on the test track at work.
But difficult to tell without a scale!
