Default Which 2WD RtR?

Looking at getting a RtR 2WD buggy, well 2 actually for me and the lad. I like the look of the Kyosho Ultima RB6 and the Associated RC10B4.2. Both are similar priced seem decent out the box and upgradable if the mood takes me. Anyone got any experience of either or can offer any pros and cons. Not looking at club racing just blasting around carparks etc for now. Cheers.

If you are just playing about in a park then a second hand b4 or b5 will do you well as they are fairly easy to get parts for, and will still be competitive enough if/when you want to try out racing. I've never had a kyosho, but they may be a bit overkill (expensive) for a play/beginner car. Anything fairly durable with a decent supply of spare parts will do for getting started, just make sure most parts are available from more than one place, you don't want to be waiting a month for one stub arm to come from a bloke in Bolivia that you found on evilbay.

I think there's a real shortage of good RTR cars. It's a perfect way to get people into the hobby. I know a couple of people with the B4.2 and I think it's a great package for the money. Everything is upgradable and the car's easy to drive.

Thanks for the replies, think I'll stick with new, no chance of buying a lemon that way.

The RB6 is a great option and has the added benefit of being fully upgradable to the current RB6.6 spec should you wish to in time
