Default What charger?

Today in my own stupidity I blew up my beloved LRP pulsar touch

Pouring with rain. Everything under gazebo.

Oh crap... forgot charger was under car bonnet. Full of water

So whats around of similar spec these days. Seen the corrally chargers...

Charge rate of up to 10 or 12A be good.

Ability to charge car lipo and Tx lipo etc. Save profiles.

Default Blow up

Some of the corally eclipse line have problems with shorting out / packing up. The eclipse line. Happened to one at dms. I bought one before I heard about that. Then my eclipse lost its 2nd circuit when trying to use it to charge two lipos. I suspect it didn't like / wasn't internally smart enough to manage its amp output when charging two cells on its two circuits. YMMV of course.

Plus I never really trusted the eclipse 2100 charger I have as it seems to take way too little time storage charging. When I take a battery off storage charge from this one (this was the behaviour of the charger from new) and then put it on storage on another charger it would show uneven cells by up to .06. This was what it did to any number of lipos from lrp/ orion / balls/ intellect. So I do treat this charger line as being a bit suspect / nice looking but cheap internally.

Other corally lines seem better. The enigma line has the digi control touch screen. This charger has been good for me. Plus I trust what this charger is doing on its storage work. The cells are even plus it's pretty quick doing the storage and I can see the cells are even. The enigma 100 will charge at 10a.

Alternative suggestion / feedback;
The orca charger https://www.rccarshop.co.uk/electric...reen-charger-p has the same touch screen as the corally enigma but with a higher amp rating (25a). This one needs separate power supply. Ive been using this with an lrp power supply. It's a nice charger although pricer than the corally enigma 100. Nice small size for the charger too.

The internal screen interface on the orca is nigh on identical to the corally eclipse. Only difference I've seen is that you get a check / confirmation to put something into charge with the corally whereas when you select to charge with the orca is does it without a 2nd check confirmation screen.

Not to state the obvious but once you have tried charging with option to use higher amp ratings I don't think you'd want to go back to lower. It's a lot faster and very convenient to have option to charge at higher C ratings (battery permitting of course). . It's also handy for storage where you have unused lipos (orca one above will storage charge at 10a. The enigma will store at 5A). So having tried a few chargers I'd definitely go for the higher amp rating option if you have option.

Hope that feedback helps in some way !
