Default LMR Wing on B44.1 fitting issues

Finally purchased a few LMR wings last week. Just cut them out and now in fitting mode!. C4.1 is easy but the B44.1 is proving tricky!

As the wings are thicker it's causing a problem with getting the clips through to secure it. I like to use the kit 9729 wing shims to create a angle on the wing, but using these prevent the wing from fitting.

Apart from drilling the wing holders, are there any other solutions?

Anyone else had this issue?

You could make some lexan washers to go underneath the wing? Or shave down the kit shims?
