Default cutting out vents

I just opened the air vents on my mate's DB01R Baldre shell to keep the motor running a bit cooler. I scored round the cut lines with a fresh scalpel blade, used a reamer to make a couple holes in the middle then used some curved scissors to make cuts at right angles right just up to the score line. The pieces snapped off quite easily and I finished it with 800 grit paper.

OK for a first attempt so I thought I'd share. If there are any other threads on this topic please feel free to link.

i usually leave the corners with a radius . if you leave a sharp corner the body tends to crack.

Tidy Job! I use a dremel with a fine sanding cone - takes just a few seconds and leaves no sharp edges to crack/tear.

Older post I know but anyway.....

I did this to my Yoko the other night and found that the placcy in that area was really very thin! It was easy to cut with the scalpel, but also easy to make mistakes.....go on, ask me how I know!
