Why not put the receiver in front of the battery with some heat sheilding in between?
How you going to secure the battery pack?

Just remember that without "flipping" the motor plate, you'll need to run the motor in reverse to go forward.

The UK Team Losi boyz have been running modified gearboxs.

Have a look here http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/midlosi/ , shows Ellis Stafford's & Chris Doughty's (now ex Losi)

Thinking of putting the speedo in the space infront of the battery and the receiver above the battery on another platform sheet of fibre. The battery is in a channel at the minute and fits ok (doesnt slide) but i will need to put some sort of strap over both ends to stop it moving. Losi team seem to mod their Losi differently and have their motor the oposite way to mine.

Thanks for your comments. Any ideas are appreciated.
