Default help with pinion size

hi there im running my x10 indoors and it keeps unsoldering its wire from the motor im runnind standard spur gear and a 17 pinion is that too small please help me cheers decided to stay with my x10 now so NORTHYwill be keeping busy helping me hopfully if he dont mind lol

Not a problem.
What wind motor are you using?
Have you got all the air intakes cut out in the shell? Also you need to cut the back of the shell out so air can get out.

I can take pictures if you want.

I'd try an 18 tooth.
Do you have a fan fitted?
Do you make sure the motor is as cool as possible before you go on to race?

i dont have a fan fitted and i didnt worrie about the motor been cold will do from now on where do i get the little fans from what will fit in to my pred cheers

Loads of fans on Ebay. Some use the ones that screw to a heatsink that clips to the motor.

an idea ive found really good through the hot weather is to cut the front window out completely,i used to do this on other cars as well,touch wood,i dont seem to have problems desoldering,also its quite nice for the motor in general and the speedo,
