Ash,
Write this on your hand, tattoo it if you have to:
2006 track = bad
2007 track = good

2006 weather = very good
2007 weather = bad

good = we want
bad = don't want.

LOL.

So with a 2007 track and 2006 weather, Oz will be great.

Even though 2007 was a better track than 2006 it was still a bit to big and easy really. A smaller more technical track would be better IMHO. And don't even try to put the thin blue pipes on the corners........

MORE JUMPS would be ACE. Yeh agree with northy smaller track but with loads more jumps and it would be perfecto.

can anyone explain to me the theories as to why Kiddy and southport got nationals after having put in late?

to be fair im not to impressed with the national series for next year...just seems abit same old, or a bit dissapointing.......

CML didnt get one, fair enough, ive heard many reasons as to why and all to me seem stupid. and to be fair i most likely won't be putting in for another national. 2 years, 2 knock backs, i built this track to be one of the best and with it help and inspire people back into off road! having nice jumps, sections and ever improving. at the moment im struglgling to improve it due to the lack of interest. drivers only seem to care about visiting national tracks, so our investment seems pointless.

the next best new track i saw on the optiond was easttrax, how come that didnt get one???

EPO we all kno is great so thats cool and the guys put in alot of work, so well done...

thanks for alot of people saying its gutting not to come to CML....its inspiring, hopefully see you all soon at some point.

I'm with you on this one Lee.
Having been down to your track it is one of the best at the moment in the country...

Oswestry: IMHO hasn't really done well with either of it's 2 tracks. The N.E. Regionals has better tracks than this.... Flat grass with wooden ramps. Very uninspiring... Why o Why

EPO: Looking forward to this one. I have good memories of this being a cool track to race on...

Stotfold: A blinding first national by the club. Ace to race on. More bumps lumps and curves than a supermodel convention... Proper Off Road.

Talywain: Never heard of it. Pics would be nice.... Please not a flat grass track

Kiddy: Been there too often. Often ruled by the weather

Southport: Erm. Racing by the seaside. Nuff Said!

Tyres: Schumacher fest again! Hopefully they have their mold sorted so we don't throw half a new set away!
Why did no club go for GRP's. Better wear! Better Priced and you get a new pair in each bag!!!!!

I wish Schumacher would take note of 2 things: We do not want pre-scrubbed spikes & we want a matching pair in each bag...

because there is only one compound, no wet option. if a club specs grp and ballistic you have 1 dry option and 2 wet, if you spec grp and schumacher you have 2 dry and 1 wet.

had grp come out with a green/wet tyre to go with the yellow then it may well have been a different story.

dan has blown the last 4 sets of schumacher yellows in the same place, at the juniors he had to run the the last leg on an old pair of tyres which we found at the bottom of the pit box just to get a chance of winning so i am slightly anti the current schumacher offerings

Spot on Nick and Pidge,

I am not a fan of kiddy, really wears out tyres far too fast for my liking, one set of schumey mini's (yellows) lasted only 2 1/2 runs in 4wd...

I thought that after having 2 Nationals at Oswestry, it would have been someone else's turn. Nothing against talywain, but I don't think that they will have a massive turnout because of their location, cml is also more central.

Never been to southport, but looks a good track to me...

Well done on Eden Park getting a national, some hard work put in there.

My two cents
M

This is my two cents.

"Oswestry: IMHO hasn't really done well with either of it's 2 tracks. The Flat grass with wooden ramps. Very uninspiring... Why o Why"

Like Adam said any pics of this Talywain place?

I hope its dry at kiddy as BB spkies around there on 2wd are not fun at all. And the wear rates not that much better either.

Glad to see southport, eden park and stotfold on there as mentioned before.
