Question Dirt cars Vs carpet cars?

I'm struggling to understand which should be best for my local club.

We run on mixed surface of carpet and wood flooring.

Would for instance a Schumacher KC or KD be better or B6 Vs B6D?

I ask as my current mid motor, laydown car is ok on carpet but pushes wide in the slippy flooring and I'm losing time in those corners, would a stand up 3 gear, dirt spec car be better here or worse?

A 3 gear stand up would be worse in this situation, you would have more rear weight bias with a stand up 3 gear giving you more rear traction which would reduce steering.

I would say unless you are suffering with rear end grip go with the laydown.

I recently tried both on a similar mixed surface preferred the laydown, the only time I have found the 3 gear stand up to be better was on grass tracks.

Thanks, I currently have a PR S1 V3 FM which is basically a lay down transmission but struggling with front end grip on the wood so I was wondering if a dirt spec car would be better in this instance
