SV2 shocks questions
I'm struggeling a bit with these shocks to get them right.
I'm used to Kyosho shocks so lets say that I was a bit spoiled. Could somebody give me a little help for an astro track (medium/high traction)? First thing I already changed are the 0 rings as the shocks were already leaking just looking at them. I have 5x1.3 tapered pistons in the front with 40wt oil and 5x1.4 tapered pistons in the rear with 35wt. Is there some magic involved like cutting the bladders or...? Looking forward for some input. Cheers!

Hi mate,
There are various threads discussing the + & - of cutting bladders and thus creating an emulsion shock . You can find the latest chat in this thread: http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100145 Simon Moss has a fairly decent base setup for Astro- check out the setup sheets on either Schumacher or Petit RC. Off the top of my head he uses #3 piston front and rear with the rear pistons drilled. I can't remember the specifics though. |

Ive found this a good place to start on most tracks, I'm not sure how far of Si's setup it is but its well worth a try.
Front 3 hole 400 oil with 3.5/4lb springs Rear 4 hole 450 oil with 2lb springs cut bladders front and rear
