I'd love to do this this year. Any teams wanting a member please consider me :-)

I'm working at Donington on the Saturday so wouldn't be able to drive / Marshall until 5.30pm but then I'm in.

Can drive stick or wheel (use dx3 wheel normally)
Top 5 in all brca micro nationals this year (that I entered)
Have hard case stick lipos and plenty of radio gear.
Pm me if you have a space!

Cool.... we're looking forward to this!

17.5 BL in 'blinky' sounds ideal.

Both Doris and Dudley were running 17.5 blinky cars had very similar straight line performance, and compared well to speed of cars last year.

We were running the Sorex tyres as last year not sure it will be Sorex this year though

Has there been any hint as to when final announcements will be made regarding motor/tyre choice etc? We (same team as DerbyDan) are trying to make plans for the event but as a new team have nothing to test and plans have stalled a bit while we wait for final details.

The whole team is very excited about taking part though

From the Ardent 24hr team event 2012 facebook group re motors ...

Quote:
Ardent Raceway Most likely 21.5 timed or 17.5 blinky, not decided yet, depends what we can get.
Sounds about right to me. The brushes in the saturns died within 3 hrs last year. As long as there isnt a 17.5 timed oops... Thou that should be obvious... it'll be the team with the 17.5 motor on fire after about 15mins

I'm guessing theyll be HPI flux pro motors and ESC ??? Jason - I'm also guessing thats what doris have been testing with?

Tyres... Yer the Sorex 32 JB's were ok. Some of ours (Worcester) still have the mould line in them! Bascially we'd trash a rim before a tire. Infact we did the last 6 hours on the "wet" tire because we couldnt make a set of the alocated "dry" tires due to ruinned rims.

We were running a Flux motor and a Hobbywing Justock speedo.

Sounds about right. We're going to bash around on a random 17.5 from the spares box and the justock until theres an offical announcement. However I cant see it going any other way.

Does HPI produce a sensored blinky speedo?
