25-27 pinion sounds a little high for a 6.5T motor, I run a 24 pinion with my 7.5T. I would start off with a 23 pinion and 76 spur.

You need to select the right belt for your layout.

Standard saddle layout 113T U4474
Low grip 103T U4323
Standard chassis with shorty lipo 117T U4494

Regards,
James.

Hi we run the low grip setup with the 103t belt. Running 25/27 76spur takes the sting out of the motor but gives good top end. We've never had any over heating problems. We run at Southport on astro

with these mentioned pinion sizes it sounds like my 27 tooth pinion on a 10.5 aint far off the money
