Default aluminium rear hub carrier ?

i have read the tip on mounting the AE aluminium rear hub carriers on xfactory's website and i'm wondering do i have to do the modification if i'm using anything other than the 0* carriers or is the dremel mod necessary on any of the aluminum hub carriers? i have a x6sq and a x60. i'd like to run the 0* carriers on my x60. any advice would be great thanks

Sorry for not responding, Mel. Missed it somehow. The way I read the tip, you Dremel the plastic on all the alu. AE carriers, no matter what the toe-in, and run R on R and L on L.

Does that make sense?

This is another option:

The AVID carbon hub towers, with these you can run the hubs the right way around on the X6 and the C4.1.

Or as Chazz as suggested, you can dremel the kit plastic mounts.

JConcepts also make carbon hub towers, but the most popular option at present is the new Exotek alloy hubs with vertical ballstud like the old Rayspeed ones (except these use the larger size outer bearing now too)
