Indoor Finals - ALLOWED CELLS UPDATE

BRCA OFF-ROAD INDOOR FINALS - WORKSOP - March 29/30th.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CELLS ALLOWED.

As this event is held in March, and cells on the BRCA 2008 Approved cell list are not allowed until April 1st., the normal procedure is that only cells on the 2007 list are allowed.

At a meeting of the Off-Road Section committee on Thurs 20th. March, the issue of safety concerning some of the 2007 cells in circulation was discussed.
In the interests of safety only, with all competitors 'pitting' in close proximity, all members of the committee have agreed that :-

Any competitor who considers their 2007 version cells to have safety issues, will be allowed to use cells from the 2008 Approved List.
Therefore, cells from 2007 and 2008 lists will be allowed.

Due to the nature of the venue the committee do not consider that using later version cells will give any competitive advantage.
We wish to emphasise that this decision is not an instruction that 2008 cells are a "MUST HAVE" item.
This decision will not set any precedence for future years, it is solely on the grounds of possible safety.
