Default Transmitter Sticks for fatter fingers

Being that everytime I see a photo of racing in the UK, 75% of the drivers are using stick radios, I thought I'd ask here

I find the sticks on my Hitec Eclipse are too small in diametre/width for me to have a lot of control. I've tried using those grips they give small kids for their pens, but apparently somewhere out there are larger sticks that you can buy.

Any advice on if these mysterious things exist, and if so, where they can be bought would be appreciated!

Push a frankfurter over the stick or something?

Joking asside, I have seen aftermarket sticks but they tend to be same dimensions and just anodised a different colour. There are two possibilities for you.

1, try silicon fuel line, I have done this in the past and it works.

2, get some new sticks turned at a machine shop to your own spec. This may be best idea, especially if you have a friend who is an engineer. If it works, you may be onto something new.
