That's belt skip, have you got the rollers touching the belts on the centre pulley??

Can you show us where you have the eccentric diff cams positioned??

Rollers are like 0.5 away from belts ...
Diff cams position is with the dot perfectly on top at the rear and one slot forward in the front .

Ok, get the rollers running against the belt, not too tight but just enough clearance so it turns the bearing

Maybe try the front belt a notch tighter and give it a try, maybe take your brake down to 75% or put back the EPA a touch on the tx

I ran my 511 with fairly loose belts on carpet and not had belt skip

You have the front cam one notch looser than the manual advises. I found that if its in the position the manual states it can slip under heavy breaking at the end of a straight. So the position you have it, its deffo gonna slip.
I have it one notch tighter and its perfect.
Check page 23 of the manual.

Might also be worth checking the pulleys for any dirt in them

There isn't a specific Phantom body for the 503... you have to use the one for the B44.2.. fit's on the 503 perfect... ( so does pretty much every other b44.2 body )

Any tips for this 503 car on high grip carpet guys? Just made a few changes from last weeks terrible showing where i really suffered massive grip roll.

Front, yellow roll bar/600wt oil/Yatabe purple springs, links and shock positions as per kit. 2mm droop limiter.

Rear, blue roll bar/450wt oil/Yatabe orange springs, links and shock positions as per kit. 2mm droop limiter.

Running a carbon chassis and 2.5mm top decks, 6.5 Fleta motor, 4wd yellow staggers, venom rears.

Car felt fast and smooth, but cornering, albeit softer than the above change, was awful, so much grip.

Opinions for a noob 4wd TRF runner? Maybe i go out on the above, and ponder laying the shocks down?

Bests.....lee

TRF cars is too soft for high grip tracks.
Tamiya cars need harder all plastics... (2wd is same).

And tire preparation is big part of racing on high traction carpet. Cuting pins, glueing walls...

Then your set up is way off, mine is epic, traction to spare, aggressive, and jumps sweetly, im faster than my YZ2, a car that didnt suit me at all!

What sort of carpet are you running on ??

Ran my car at the first round of the Silverstone winter series, car was awesome!!

I have a feeling the carbon chassis is not helping at all, can't fault the car on any surface..

ralphee:

This is all about your competition level...
TRF211 cannot be competetive to low riders or cheaters cars, if traction is really high.

No doubt.

Its that grey Primafelt i think? Car was silly fast, just excessive roll, and subsequent traction roll!
My Bmax4 could suffer the same when grip came up!
Ive heard others running the carbon chassis with improvement!
Ill try this revised front set up this Friday and see how she fares!

As for the 211, no, it wont beat a YZ2 or XB2 at higher level racing, but im happy at my level where the car is very competitive Akime, you are obviously racing at a much higher level than I, against more talented drivers too, in any case, i love the 211
